From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, the popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts" has announced its latest product, "Ultraman Zearth," from the movie "Ultraman Zearth," slated for release in July 2026.
Released in 1996, the Ultraman 30th Anniversary commemorative film "Ultraman Zearth" diverged from the traditional heroic style of the series, incorporating numerous parody and comedic elements. The protagonist, Ultraman Zearth, is a warrior from the "Land of Light" in Nebula Z95. Despite his excellent athletic abilities, he possesses a somewhat timid personality and suffers from an insurmountable severe germaphobia. He came to Earth to clean up polluted environments, transforming into the 24-year-old youth Katsuto Asahi and joining "Mydo," a super-cosmic defense organization disguised as a gas station. When threats like monsters and aliens appear, he transforms by brushing his teeth with his "Flash Electric Toothbrush."
The "S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Zearth" is crafted with an articulated specification, standing approximately 15 cm tall. Its design was supervised by Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department and Mr. Jo Narita, who was responsible for the original suit production, thoroughly recreating the on-screen suit's image and its sharp, layered red and white patterns. The entire body features articulated joint designs that minimize visible gaps between parts, along with precise articulation segmentation. Numerous pull-out joints allow for dynamic battle poses.
Accessories also include multiple interchangeable hand parts, a color timer in its red light state, and effect parts for his signature move, the "Speciushula Ray." These allow for recreating classic scenes such as frantically washing his hands after getting them dirty, or struggling to walk when stepping in mud!
Furthermore, TAMASHII NATIONS has also teased the commercialization of Zearth's strongest enemy. From the silhouette, it appears to be the combat robot "Ultraman Shadow," who appeared in the sequel "Ultraman Battle: Light and Shadow."
