The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. has announced the upcoming release of a new product, the "EXM-H15X Acerby (TYPE-X)," scheduled for May 2026. This addition to the original plastic model kit series "30 MINUTES MISSIONS" is renowned for its quick assembly and easy customization, fully showcasing the appeal of mass-produced machines.
The EXM-H15X Acerby (TYPE-X) is a modified version of the Acerby, designed as a high-mobility special operations unit equipped with heavy armaments. It achieves maximum mobility in both aerial and space environments thanks to attitude control thrusters located throughout its body and large leg boosters. Its arsenal not only includes a submachine gun with significantly enhanced range, stability, and rapid-fire performance, and a high-sharpness energy sword, but also features a pair of large wireless multi-purpose armaments, "Flux Analyzer," mounted on its back. Once detached, these can orbit the unit, providing omnidirectional defense and attack without blind spots.
The "30MM 1/144 EXM-H15X Acerby (TYPE-X)" has been thoroughly supervised by designer Fumikane Shimada. New parts are utilized to faithfully recreate the reinforced head, waist, arms, legs, and armament designs. It features the unique black and teal molding colors characteristic of special operations units. The head visor incorporates an opening mechanism, and it also includes interchangeable twin-tail and single-tail head parts, identical in specification to those of TYPE-A and TYPE-B.
In addition to the submachine gun, energy sword, Flux Analyzer, and other parts that constitute the unit's reinforced armaments, the kit also bundles a customization parts set. This set includes various head antennas, additional armor, multiple weapons, and specialized joint parts, allowing for the creation of unique specifications using the universal 3mm pegs found throughout the body.
