Bandai Namco Toys & Hobby, a Japanese toy company, has announced the latest collaboration product, "Chocobi Shin-chan," from its original transforming and combining robot toy series, 『UNITROBORN』, in partnership with the popular Japanese anime "Crayon Shin-chan." It is scheduled for release on April 25, 2026.
『UNITROBORN』 is an original toy series that inherits the legacy of the early "Machine Robo" toys. The story is set around mechanical lifeforms called "UTA-ZO" who came to Earth from space. To protect Earth's peace, they can use their songs to instantly combine any objects of the same color around them into robots. Lobsters and apples, sharks and vending machines, hamburgers and bulldozers... various imaginative combinations can merge into powerful robots to defeat the mysterious enemies causing chaos.
This collaboration with "Crayon Shin-chan," "Chocobi Shin-chan," includes the main body of Shinnosuke Nohara and his favorite snack, Chocobi cookies. It faithfully recreates Shin-chan's distinctive facial features and attire, as well as the Chocobi cookie packaging design. By combining Shin-chan's butt with the special connection point on the cookie, the internal precision transformation mechanism is triggered, instantly deploying into a "Kantam Robot"!
