Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, has announced its latest product from the movie "Terror of Mechagodzilla," the "Godzilla (1975)", slated for release in August 2026.

Godzilla, appearing in the final films of the "Godzilla" Showa series, "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" and "Terror of Mechagodzilla," was provoked into battle by the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens' Earth invasion weapon, "Mechagodzilla," which disguised itself as Godzilla and wreaked havoc, awakening Godzilla's fighting instinct and causing it to appear in Tokyo Bay. In the first film, Godzilla, with its magnetized body from absorbing lightning and the assistance of Okinawa's guardian deity "King Caesar," repelled Mechagodzilla. In the sequel, facing the improved Mechagodzilla 2, Godzilla took advantage of the cyborg Katsura Mafune's self-sacrifice and Mechagodzilla 2's complete loss of control to utterly destroy Mechagodzilla 2 with its atomic breath.

The "S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (1975)" is sculpted, color-specified, and supervised by Japan's leading Godzilla sculptor, Yuji Sakai. Using completely new sculpted parts, it faithfully recreates the on-screen suit, condensing precise sculpting and flexible articulation into a 16 cm tall figure. Features such as the bloodshot, upward-gazing large eyes, the flat and wide protruding lower jaw, and the black claws on its hands and feet are all meticulously reproduced.

The articulation is once again handled by Mitsuhiko Hosokawa, who has developed the articulation mechanisms for previous S.H.MonsterArts products. Through precise articulation segmentation design, the figure maintains its sculpted integrity while also featuring flexible joints that allow for dynamic and powerful poses. This time, the four large dorsal fins in the center of the back also incorporate an articulation mechanism, allowing for the recreation of the dorsal fins swaying left and right as Godzilla moves in the film. The accessories also include special hands to recreate punching attacks, further enabling the recreation of scenes from the movie.
