HIYA TOYS, a high-quality collectible model brand from China, has announced the latest product from its 'EXQUISITE BASIC Series', the "X Falcon Armor" from the classic video game series Mega Man X, slated for release in the first quarter of 2027.
The protagonist X's enhanced equipment, the "Falcon Armor," first appeared in Mega Man X5. It boasts abilities such as reduced special weapon consumption, damage reduction, and sustained flight. While its charged shot missile has lower power, it can penetrate terrain, and it can unleash a screen-wide barrage of light projectiles with its "Giga Attack." Although the Falcon Armor can be used at the start of the sequel, Mega Man X6, its flight capabilities and charged shot penetration are absent due to its emergency repair status.
The "EXQUISITE BASIC Series X Falcon Armor" is crafted as a highly articulated figure, standing approximately 15 cm (6 inches) tall. Its facial features and body proportions closely adhere to the style drawn by the game's original illustrator, Haruki Suetsugu, faithfully recreating the relatively large arm and leg armor. Furthermore, each piece of armor utilizes high-gloss color painting and transparent parts to reproduce a texture distinct from the base body.
The body features flexible articulated joint designs, and powerful magnets are embedded in the soles of the feet, allowing for cool poses such as shooting, jumping, and wall-clinging. It comes with 3 interchangeable face parts for various scenes, 6 interchangeable hand parts, a replacement hand cannon part in firing mode, the "Z-Saber" hilt inherited from Zero, and two beam effect parts for the saber blade.
Notably, the hand cannon part features a built-in LED lighting mechanism, allowing for three modes—flashing, breathing, and constant illumination—activated via a magnetic switch. The "Z-Saber" hilt also incorporates an LED lighting mechanism, enabling the two beam effect parts to display different stages of beam output.
