HIYA TOYS, a high-quality collectible figure brand from China, has announced the latest product in its 'EXQUISITE BASIC Series', the "Destoroyah (Complete Form)" from the movie 《Godzilla vs. Destoroyah》, scheduled for release in Q2 2027.
Destoroyah was originally a microscopic crustacean that lived in an oxygen-free environment 2.5 billion years ago. In 1954, Dr. Serizawa used the "Oxygen Destroyer" to kill the first Godzilla, but this also awakened Destoroyah, which had been dormant in ancient strata, and it gradually mutated into an oxygen-adapted organism. After exposure to oxygen, it evolved from its original 2-5 mm size into larvae nearly 2 meters tall, which could then aggregate to form an "Aggregate Form". Later, by absorbing Godzilla Junior's DNA and power plant energy, it mutated and evolved into a complete form over 200 meters tall. Its colossal figure resembled a terrifying demon, capable of firing powerful rays that could cut through Godzilla's skin. Its only weakness was extremely low-temperature freezing rays.
The "EXQUISITE BASIC Series Destoroyah (Complete Form)" is crafted with an imposing height of approximately 21.6 cm. Its overall sculpt faithfully recreates the menacing appearance of the monster suit from the film, meticulously detailing the chaotic fangs on its head, the highly organic irregular carapace patterns, and its extremely robust lower body and tail. Transparent parts are combined with color applications to present the light and shadow and gradient changes of the carapace, emphasizing the hard and sharp texture characteristic of a crustacean.
Through precise articulation design, Destoroyah achieves both a seamless sculpt and high poseability. Its lower jaw and the three fingers on each hand feature independent movable joints. The knees utilize a double-joint design to allow for kneeling poses, and the tail can swing approximately 45 degrees. The demonic giant wings are made of PVC soft plastic with embedded metal wires, allowing for dynamic poses such as walking, flying, and roaring as seen in the film!
