Many might not know that Ben Affleck quietly launched a startup called InterPositive back in 2022. The company has been dedicated to developing artificial intelligence tools specifically for film and television professionals. Affleck had already identified the trend and entered the market before AI software became widely popular. However, this previously low-profile company has suddenly garnered significant attention, as Netflix — which recently collaborated with Affleck on the new film "The Rip" — officially announced its acquisition of InterPositive.

Following the acquisition announcement, Netflix immediately uploaded a promotional video to its channel, featuring Affleck himself explaining the company's vision. He clarified that InterPositive's AI tools are not designed for generating content from scratch based on prompts. Instead, they develop modules for filmmakers to streamline post-production processes, making it easier to assemble color grading, color correction, and add special effects.

Affleck further explained in a statement that for the past four years, he has closely observed the nascent development of AI technology in the film and television industry, realizing that many existing modules were not mature enough. This motivated him to invest in developing specialized tools that could more effectively assist filmmakers in storytelling. Furthermore, Affleck will not be leaving the company following this acquisition; he will continue to serve as a senior advisor for Netflix, providing ongoing guidance.
