Bandai Namco Toys & Hobby, a Japanese toy company, is set to release a brand new blind box series featuring Sanrio's popular character Kuromi, titled "Kawaii Closet KUROMI". Both the first and second volumes will be launched simultaneously in mid-March 2026, offering a total of 20 adorable Kuromi figures in various outfits for you to collect!
Though initially portrayed as a villain in the anime "Onegai My Melody," the highly popular Kuromi garnered immense sympathy due to her frequent, unintentional bullying by the naturally mischievous My Melody. Her rough demeanor, combined with a girlish heart and a straightforward personality, has made her incredibly charming. The new "Kawaii Closet KUROMI" series highlights a side of Kuromi you've never seen before, dressing her in various stylish and fashion-forward outfits infused with dreamy, cute colors, allowing collectors to enjoy Kuromi's versatile looks.
The simultaneously released "Kawaii Closet KUROMI" Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 each feature 9 standard designs plus 1 secret edition Kuromi, totaling 20 unique Kuromi figures for you to collect. Each blind box contains one random Kuromi figure, approximately 9 cm tall. The base body features articulated joints at the neck and limbs, and the headwear and shoe parts are detachable. Each outfit piece boasts intricate sculpting and vibrant colors, and is made from soft PVC material for easy dressing and undressing, allowing you to freely mix and match Kuromi's head, body, shoes, and handheld accessories!
