The popular action figure series "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI", developed by Japanese model maker Kaiyodo, has announced its latest product from the video game "Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater", the "Naked Snake Sneaking Suit Ver.", scheduled for release in February 2027.
"Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater" is the origin story of the entire series. The protagonist of this title is a FOX unit operative belonging to the US CIA, codenamed Naked Snake. He is calm, composed, values honor, and possesses exceptionally advanced stealth techniques, survival skills, and close-quarters combat (CQC).
During "Operation Snake Eater," he successfully destroyed the Soviet Union's new nuclear weapon, becoming the hero "BIG BOSS" who saved the world, but also learned of the national conspiracy that forced him to kill his mentor, "THE BOSS." He once attempted to fulfill THE BOSS's dying wish with his comrade ZERO, but their relationship fractured when ZERO secretly used his DNA to create clones such as Solid Snake and Liquid Snake. Among them, Solid Snake, who shares Naked Snake's appearance, is the protagonist who carries through the series in "1," "2," and "4."
For the "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI Naked Snake Sneaking Suit Ver.", the series' soul sculptor, Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, was responsible for the prototype production. At an approximate height of 16 cm, Naked Snake is sculpted in his sneaking suit. Not only are the robust muscle lines of his entire body, the textures, and wrinkles of the sneaking suit meticulously sculpted, but tactical belts, communication equipment, holsters, ammo pouches, knives, and other gear are also included, thoroughly recreating the high-resolution and more realistic image from the remake.
The full articulation utilizes Kaiyodo's long-developed Revoltech joint parts, adjusted to express various stealth actions from the game. Combined with the precise articulation segmentation of the sneaking suit parts, it allows for natural and vivid stealth poses such as crawling, high kneeling, and low stances. Accessories also include a cardboard box, the collectible "Kerotan," an exclamation mark above enemies' heads, a pistol, a rifle, binoculars, and more, allowing you to recreate scenes of reconnaissance in the jungle, stealth infiltration in enemy bases, and armed combat!
