TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., which sculpts from the skeletal structure to give tokusatsu heroes their original cool appearance and natural articulation, has announced the commercialization of "Golden Knight Garo Sho," the protagonist from the tokusatsu series "Garo: The Eastern Boundary," for its "S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou)" series. The release date is yet to be determined.
The solitary Makai Knight, Ryuga Dogai, first appeared in the 2013 work "The One Who Shines in the Darkness" and is also the protagonist of the latest series installment in 2026, "The Eastern Boundary." From the age of seven, he trained under Furei on an uninhabited island and inherited the Garo armor, which had lost its golden luster. He possesses the special ability to read the thoughts or memories of an object's owner by touching it. Ryuga endured numerous death battles with powerful foes and partings with loved ones; even when temporarily blinded, he never gave up fighting, leading the Makai Ring "Zaruba," which initially did not acknowledge him, to decide to assist him. He ultimately restored Garo's golden luster after defeating all Horrors.
The "Golden Knight Garo Sho," now announced for commercialization, appeared in the sequel film "Garo: Gold Storm Sho." After Makai Priestess Ryume purified the evil energy clinging to the golden armor, the armor responded to Ryuga Dogai's power and evolved into his exclusive "Garo Sho." A prototype was also exhibited in advance at the end of last year. Unlike the tall, slender physique of the Makai Kado version released in 2014, the Shinkocchou Seihou version more closely resembles the physique of the action actor wearing the suit in the show, and the entire golden armor is electroplated, presenting an extremely brilliant shine.
