PLEX, the Japanese company behind the high-quality, large-scale GIGANTIC SERIES, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the film "Shin Godzilla" with a special release. Alongside the standard "Godzilla (2016) 4th Form 10th Anniversary Ver.," a Shonen RIC Limited Edition will also be available. Both are priced at a suggested 113,850 JPY and are slated for release in June 2026!
The "Godzilla (2016) 4th Form 10th Anniversary Ver. Limited Edition" utilizes the same mold as the 2017 limited edition release. It features an open-mouth head sculpt, poised to unleash its atomic breath, with intricately sculpted rough skin textures and exaggerated musculature. The terrifying details of its gaping maw are also meticulously recreated. The intricate paint application faithfully reproduces the biological details of crimson flesh peeking through the black skin, while the purple glow, extending from the dorsal fins to the neck after awakening, is precisely recreated using translucent material combined with detailed paintwork.
Furthermore, this Shonen RIC Limited Edition boasts a built-in light-up feature. By connecting a USB cable and flipping the switch, various parts of Godzilla's body will illuminate. Switching the toggle also allows for mode changes, enabling the glow to gradually illuminate from the dorsal fins towards the tip of the tail, powerfully recreating the iconic scene of Godzilla preparing to unleash its atomic breath!
