PLEX Co., Ltd. of Japan, in collaboration with X-PLUS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from their "Large Monster Series" of finished models, which features heroes and monsters from Japanese tokusatsu works. The "Large Monster Series ULTRA NEW GENERATION Ultraman Zero Ver.2" from the Ultraman series is scheduled for release in June 2026.
"Ultraman Zero" is the son of Ultraman Seven. As a warrior, he possesses exceptional qualities and is known as the strongest young warrior in the Land of Light. However, in his youth, he overconfidently sought greater power, approaching the core of the "Plasma Spark Tower" and breaking a taboo. He was exiled from the Land of Light, but in reality, his father took him to the frontier planet K76, where he was re-trained in mind, body, and spirit by Ultraman Leo and Astra. When the fallen Ultraman Belial escaped prison and caused a crisis, Zero, having matured in both mind and body, returned to the Land of Light as a warrior, utilizing his hard-earned powerful combat skills to successfully repel Belial.
The "Large Monster Series ULTRA NEW GENERATION Ultraman Zero Ver.2" features a completely new sculpt, different from the 2010 version. At a height of approximately 25.5 cm, it faithfully reproduces Zero's cool standing pose, meticulously detailing the fierce and handsome head sculpt and the powerful musculature throughout his body. By swapping hand parts, you can also recreate his confident hands-on-hips pose.
The limited edition, sold on the official online store "Shonen RIC," features a built-in LED light-up mechanism in the head and chest. By connecting the dedicated base to a power source via USB Type-C, you can use a switch to illuminate the forehead, eyes, and Color Timer. The Color Timer can also be switched to a flashing red light state.
