Japanese modeling brand Prime 1 Studio, renowned for its exquisite statues, recently unveiled a powerful new addition to its "Museum Masterline XL" line: the "Alien Big Chap Xenomorph Close Up Shot Ver." (エイリアン ビッグチャップ ゼノモーフ クローズアップショットVer.) 1/3 scale full body statue! Shipping is expected to begin from August to November 2027. Both a Regular Edition and a DX Bonus Edition will be released simultaneously, with suggested retail prices of 340,890 and 511,390 JPY (tax included) respectively.
The universe's most terrifying threat is now brought to life in an astonishing 100 cm height! The most collectible aspect of this Prime 1 Studio "Alien" statue is undoubtedly its head, which is based on the so-called Carlo Rambaldi’s Alien Head. When we think of the classic Big Chap Alien head design, H. R. Giger immediately comes to mind. The overall aesthetic of Big Chap, its design combining both organic and inorganic elements, and its classic transparent elongated dome are all the work of H. R. Giger; however, the movable prop (with an opening mouth and retractable inner jaw) created for close-up shots during filming was the masterful work of special effects artist Carlo Rambaldi.
This piece not only fully reproduces the terrifying and horrifying Alien head, but also excels in its transparent dome allowing a view into the internal, complex skeletal structure, the intricate details within the mouth, and the highly organic, wet appearance. The overall pose, as if it's about to move, is incredibly lifelike. It truly exudes a suffocating sense of oppression! Coupled with a base designed after the interior of the Nostromo spaceship, it makes for an astonishing display!
▼ The simultaneously released DX Bonus Edition further includes a wealth of additional accessories such as an extra interchangeable head sculpt, interchangeable hands, a detachable wall piece with LED lighting, a head sculpt display stand, and more.
▼ Purchases made at the Prime 1 Studio official store will also receive the cat "Jones" and a shipping crate as a bonus.
