The latest product, "Shakuetsu no Gai," from the original plastic model kit series "30 MINUTES FANTASY" by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company under its BANDAI HOBBY brand, which features a fantasy world theme, is a collaboration with the anime Yoroiden Shin Den. It is set to officially release on March 21, 2026. Ahead of its release, the official channels have unveiled the product box art, full product contents, and other latest information.
The anime Yoroiden Shin Den, airing in 2026, is the legitimate sequel to the 1988 anime Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. The story takes place 35 years after the previous work. After five warriors known as "SAMURAI TROOPERS" successfully repelled the invasion of the Yasha Realm in Japan, the Japanese government at the time learned from this lesson and established the anti-Yasha organization DST, responsible for strengthening defenses and nurturing the next generation of "SAMURAI TROOPERS." In the present day, the Yasha Realm once again attacks the human world. New-generation "SAMURAI TROOPERS" like Musashi Hojo are struggling due to their lack of combat experience. The protagonist, "Gai," who suddenly appears to help repel the Yasha soldiers, is, however, from the Yasha Realm and closely related to the Yasha Emperor, Rashin-ga.
The "30MF Shakuetsu no Gai" leverages the highly articulated body design developed for the 30MF series, bringing the protagonist Shakuetsu no Gai from Yoroiden Shin Den into plastic model form. Its entire body features flexible articulation, allowing for dynamic combat poses. Furthermore, by swapping parts, it can transform from the "Under Gear" state, wearing functional undergarments, into the armored "Yoroi Gear" state. It also includes hand parts and effect parts to recreate the Yoroi Gear summoning scene.
Gai's head utilizes molded part colors to recreate his red-streaked hair. It comes with two pre-printed face parts and one blank face part that can be customized with water-slide decals. The two swords, included as weapon accessories, also use molded part colors to reproduce the color separation of the silver blades and gold tsuba (handguards). The swords can be stored in their sheaths, which feature a peg to recreate the crossed-back carrying style.
