The Danish LEGO toy company's LEGO Icons series officially announced yesterday (17th) its new product, numbered 11378, the "Douglas DC-3 PAN AM Airliner" (Douglas™ DC-3™ PAN AM® Airliner)! It is expected to be released on April 4, 2026, with a suggested retail price of US$219.99. LEGO Certified Stores in Taiwan will release it on April 1st, priced at NT$7,599.
This set contains a total of 1903 pieces. Once assembled, it stands approximately 24 cm tall and measures 51 cm in length. The overall design faithfully recreates the twin-engine look of the 1930s, and the classic Pan Am livery from the late 1950s is meticulously reproduced with LEGO bricks. Aviation enthusiasts will not only enjoy its elegant, streamlined exterior, but can also remove the fuselage panels to admire the interior details such as the cockpit dashboard, cabin seats, and aisle. This is an experience not felt when playing with the "Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft" previously. Coupled with the retractable landing gear operated by a knob on the underside of the fuselage, it is truly captivating.
Another major highlight of this set is the aviation industry minifigures dressed in classic retro PAN AM uniforms! Including a pilot, a purser, and a flight attendant, instantly transporting you back to the 1950s. What's even more fantastic is the included minifigure display base printed with the PAN AM logo.
