This Type-3 Kiryu kit boasts a strong sense of dynamism and a refined design. A notable feature is that its dorsal fins resemble those of the Metal Build EX version. Producing mechanical kits requires extra effort in the mold refinement stage to prevent imperfections from becoming more apparent after applying metallic paint. Before painting, extensive research was conducted, and the movie was re-watched. It was decided that the main body would feature a matte silver finish, visually enhancing its weighty presence while avoiding over-emphasized shadow painting. Compared to the movie's design, the articulated joints are engineered with a more muscular feel, using mechanical elements to represent muscle fibers. The painting strategy involved using different colors on various mechanical parts and emphasizing three-dimensionality to portray these mechanical muscles. The backpack and arm-mounted weapons are painted with a satin metallic finish, enhanced with shadow painting to boost their three-dimensional effect. Further color separation was applied to different parts to enrich the overall color palette. The backpack nozzles are painted to emulate the jet effects seen in the movie when Type-3 Kiryu performs high-speed maneuvers, complementing the kit's strong dynamic presence. The teeth, in contrast to the movie's monochromatic white, are painted to emphasize a more organic, biological feel. We hope everyone enjoys this new kit from WF2026W~
