BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan officially released its latest product from Yu-Gi-Oh!, the "Figure-rise Standard Amplified – Three Phantasm Gods Descent – Slifer the Sky Dragon" on March 21, 2026. The official team has also unveiled the box art, actual product images, and unboxing assembly information ahead of the product's release.
The "Figure-rise Standard Amplified – Three Phantasm Gods Descent – Slifer the Sky Dragon" kit is crafted with molded parts in colors such as red, black, white, metallic blue, and cyan blue. Each part features intricate detailing, recreating the sharp edges of its carapace and claws. The wing membranes of its massive dual wings are made from PET film, replicating a super-thin texture while also featuring printed light and shadow variations and wrinkle colors, enhancing the three-dimensional appearance. The only areas on the entire model that require color-correcting stickers are the eyes and the inside of the lower jaw's mouth.
Once assembled, Slifer the Sky Dragon boasts an extremely long size. When placed on its display stand, it possesses an even more imposing presence compared to Obelisk the Tormentor and The Winged Dragon of Ra from the same series. The overall design has been "amplified" in its details compared to the original setting, with the dual wings, arms, and body featuring full, muscle-like bulging lines, and the carapace and tail spikes becoming more three-dimensional and larger.
The "amplification" of the articulated joints is also a major feature of this version. The neck incorporates a built-in single core wire structure, allowing for significant up and down movement. Both mouths on the head can open wide, and the blue tongue can also move up and down. The body is connected by multiple articulated joints; while the S-shaped design in the middle section cannot be straightened completely, it allows each body segment to rotate in multiple directions. Combined with the articulation of the dual wings and arms, this enables dynamic poses such as soaring with outstretched wings, roaring with head held high, and unleashing its signature move, "Thunderforce Attack."
