BANDAI CANDY, the confectionery toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product in its popular Pokémon confectionery toy series, 'POKEMON SCALE WORLD,' with the "Kalos Region Professor Sycamore & Mega Charizard X" set scheduled for release in July 2026.
The Professor Sycamore featured in this release is the Pokémon Professor of the Kalos region in the game 'Pokémon X/Y.' He entrusts players with the Pokédex and Kalos starter Pokémon, inviting them to assist him with his research. He has a close relationship with Lysandre, believing his use of the Holo Caster and profits to support Pokémon research to be truly great. However, upon learning his true intention was to activate the ultimate weapon and reduce the number of living beings, he felt immense disappointment and regret.
The "POKEMON SCALE WORLD Professor Sycamore" product is based on the character illustration drawn by Ken Sugimori, recreating his standing pose with outstretched arms at a height of approximately 9.5 cm. Although the Mega Charizard X, with a height of approximately 8.5 cm, nominally appears as the Professor's partner, what is even more memorable is the Mega Charizard X used by Alain, the Professor's former assistant in the anime, which famously won against Ash's Greninja in the Lumiose Conference finals with a sliver of health remaining.
