To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pokémon GO and the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, Pokémon GO is launching a brand-new photography feature, "What's Your Favorite?" We invite all you Toy People to proudly showcase your love for Pokémon and capture fun, memorable photos alongside your favorite one. You can also participate in the "What's Your Favorite?" giveaway, so be sure to read to the end!
▼ Let's get started with the What's Your Favorite? feature! First, open Pokémon GO and tap the "Camera" icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
▼ After opening the camera, you'll immediately see the featured photography function, "What's Your Favorite?"! Take a picture with your favorite Pokémon! It's worth noting that "What's Your Favorite?" and "GO Snapshot" are two separate features.
▼ Just three simple steps to create an awesome "What's Your Favorite?" photo—it's as easy as pie!
▼ The biggest difference between "What's Your Favorite?" and previous photo features is that "you can even take photos with Pokémon you haven't caught yet"! This allows you Toy People to take pictures with almost any Pokémon that has appeared in Pokémon GO, which is an incredibly friendly design for new Trainers.
▼ Besides browsing by Pokédex number, if you already have a favorite in mind, you can also search directly by the Pokémon's name.
▼ So, let's have "Lopunny" take a picture with me! A unique aspect of "What's Your Favorite?" is that the Pokémon doesn't appear during the shot; it only shows up after the photo is taken, adding a sense of surprise! Even though you only press the shutter once, you can choose from many different angles and poses for the Pokémon, which is a lot of fun!
Based on my experience, many factors can affect the size of the Pokémon in the final image, including the Pokémon's actual size, the distance between the photographer and the subject, and the size of the shooting space. When playing What's Your Favorite? at home, it's great for smaller Pokémon like Bulbasaur, Pikachu, or Rowlet. For Pokémon over a meter tall, like Charizard or Altaria, you might get the best experience outdoors!

▼ Using the five-second self-timer, even if you're adventuring alone, you can still get in the shot with your Pokémon and take interesting photos as long as you have a place to set up your phone.
▼ In addition to the What's Your Favorite? themed frame with the #Pokemon30 logo, you can also choose a borderless, full-frame photo.
▼ A truly skilled Trainer not only masters the size of their partner Pokémon but also anticipates the poses it might strike, allowing them to pose accordingly with their partner!
▼ Even with a single shutter press, you can choose from various Butterfree in different positions and angles. This is definitely the most fun part of "What's Your Favorite?"!
Please note: The "What's Your Favorite?" feature only allows photos with Pokémon in their original forms. You cannot take photos with special Pokémon, including (but not limited to) costumed Pokémon, Mega Evolved Pokémon, and Dynamax Pokémon.
▼ Next up is my personal favorite part—the "post-editing" session! After taking the photo, you get a ton of decorative stickers to play with to make your picture even more interesting, and you can also change the title within the frame.
And that's my experience playing with the "What's Your Favorite?" feature! It's really fun to take pictures with your favorite Pokémon! And the surprise when the Pokémon appears after the photo is taken, striking some unexpected pose, is just awesome!
