Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular articulated figure series "MAFEX" recently unveiled a new product based on the movie "Joker"—the "Joker (JOKER Ver.)" articulated figure. The suggested retail price is 42,680 JPY, with an estimated release in January 2027!
Released in 2019, "Joker" was directed by Todd Phillips and co-written by Scott Silver. It reshaped the familiar DC Comics supervillain, portraying Gotham City from a perspective closer to the struggles of the lower class. The film depicts the mentally ill protagonist, Arthur Fleck, being crushed by society and life, gradually falling into an abyss and transforming into the "Joker," a symbol of chaos and rebellion.
This Joker articulated figure stands approximately 15 cm tall. It is crafted based on Arthur's final transformation into the Joker in the movie, recreating actor Joaquin Phoenix's facial features after makeup in a small scale, and meticulously sculpting details such as the sharp red suit and hair strands!
The accessories include five interchangeable head sculpts, multiple sets of interchangeable hands, a Joker mask, a bouquet, a diary, a .38 revolver, and other rich props. It also comes with a staircase scene accessory, allowing for the recreation of the classic dancing on the stairs scene! Furthermore, it includes the yellow swivel chair Arthur sat on during the Murray Franklin Show, which can be combined with the interchangeable cross-legged lower body part to recreate the talk show segment!
