KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese model manufacturer, in collaboration with illustrator En Morikura, has announced the latest product in their everyday-life beautiful girl plastic model kit series "Sousai Shojo Teien": "Rui Saotome [Momozakura High School - Competition Swimsuit]", slated for release in August 2026.
Rui Saotome is a "prince-type" girl with a dazzling appearance and demeanor, captivating both men and women. She is straightforward, consistent, and observant. While highly athletic, she dislikes studying and kissing scenes in movies. Although Rui appears boyish, she also loves collecting small and cute things. After meeting the petite and adorable Emma Koishikawa, Rui was drawn to her pursuit of dreams and often visits Emma with her childhood friend Seira Ichijo, with whom she shares a fated bond.
The "Rui Saotome [Momozakura High School - Competition Swimsuit]" features a newly sculpted competition swimsuit design using an L SIZE body, which is taller than other characters in the series. It not only showcases an elegant and healthy figure, but the blue, black, and white sections of the swimsuit are also fully color-separated and part-separated, utilizing a smooth, glossy finish to represent the fabric's light reflection. Combined with flexible articulation designs like double-jointed elbows and lower body parts for a sports sitting pose, it can recreate a wide range of actions such as forward stretches, diving preparation poses, and underwater swimming poses!
Accessories include four pre-painted face parts: "Smiling Face," "Playful Face," "Focused Face," and "Injured Face," along with blank face parts and water-slide decals for custom expressions, 9 pairs of sculpted hands, 3 pairs of sculpted feet, and front hair parts with swimming goggles, all interchangeable to suit various actions and scenes. Furthermore, the exposed back part comes with two options: one without an opening for aesthetic emphasis, and one with a 3mm opening for display stands. The neck-to-collarbone connection part also includes specifications compatible with "Megami Device" heads.
