Do you remember that little girl walking against the strong wind, playing the recorder? Japanese toy manufacturer AliceGlint (AliceGlint Co., Ltd.) is scheduled to release a PVC figure of the well-known vocal synthesis software "Vocalo Elementary Schooler: Kaai Yuki" (ボカロ小学生 歌愛ユキ) in February 2027. The figure's design is based on her appearance in the famous "Strong Wind, All Back" (強風オールバック) music video. The suggested retail price is 7,400 JPY.
Many people surely still remember the meme song that went viral online three years ago, "Strong Wind, All Back," produced by Japanese music creator "Yukopi" (ゆこぴ) using Kaai Yuki. The animated music video for the song was released on March 15, 2023, featuring Kaai Yuki's elementary schooler image as the protagonist. It combines humorous lyrics describing reactions to strong winds with a simple melody, adorned with "instruments played by elementary schoolers at school" such as castanets, recorders, and triangles. After its release, it exploded in popularity online, reaching number 1 on the Billboard Japan Niconico Vocaloid Songs Top 20 and holding the position for eight consecutive weeks, also inspiring many derivative works.
This PVC figure of Kaai Yuki, scheduled for release by AliceGlint, uses her appearance in the "Strong Wind, All Back" music video, walking and playing the recorder, as its design reference. It stands approximately 14.5 cm tall and includes a display base. Watching it while playing the music will surely enhance the experience.
