BANDAI HOBBY, the model kit brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, has announced the latest collaborative products from its original fantasy-themed model kit series '30 MINUTES FANTASY' with the anime Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. These new items, "Yamato of the Wilderness" and "Shion of the Flash," are scheduled for release in September and October 2026, respectively.
The anime Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, airing in 2026, is the legitimate sequel to the 1988 anime Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. The story takes place 35 years after the previous work. After five warriors known as "SAMURAI TROOPERS" successfully repelled the invasion of the Yasha Realm in Japan, the Japanese government learned from this lesson and established the anti-Yasha organization DST, responsible for strengthening defenses and nurturing the next generation of "SAMURAI TROOPERS." In the present day, the Yasha Realm once again attacks the human world. New-generation "SAMURAI TROOPERS" like Musashi Hojo, lacking combat experience, are steadily defeated. The protagonist, "Kai," who suddenly appears to help repel the Yasha soldiers, hails from the Yasha Realm and has a close relationship with the Yasha Emperor, Rashin-ga.
Currently, no in-development 3DCG renders or prototype images have been released for the two products, "30MF Yamato of the Wilderness" and "30MF Shion of the Flash," but their product features have been revealed. Similar to the three previously announced products, such as Kai of the Blazing Sun, they feature the highly articulated base body developed for the 30MF series. By swapping parts, they can transform from the functional inner suit "Under Gear" to the armored "Yoroi Gear." They also include hands and effect parts to recreate the Yoroi Gear summoning scene.
Accessories include two interchangeable facial expression parts made with tampo printing, as well as blank face parts and water-slide decals for custom expressions. Additionally, each character comes with their dedicated weapons: the "Wilderness Spear" and the "Flash Sword."
