TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has officially announced the latest product from the popular alloy toy series "METAL BUILD," the "Nirvash type ZERO RS" from the anime "Eureka Seven," slated for release in August 2026.

The giant robot "LFO" appearing in "Eureka Seven" is the form taken after humanity excavated mysterious humanoid frames from underground and then utilized modern technology to install control systems, power, armor, and weapons. They are typically equipped with flight units called "Ref Boards" to achieve high-mobility aerial maneuvers. The "Nirvash", piloted by protagonists Eureka and Renton, is the world's first LFO ever manufactured, earning the name "type ZERO" as the origin of all LFOs. Its specialized Ref Board, crafted by a master artisan, boasts flight speeds that even surpass the military's Terminus series machines.
The anime's 20th-anniversary commemorative product, "METAL BUILD Nirvash type ZERO RS," was produced with the involvement of "Eureka Seven" anime director Tomoki Kyoda and mechanical designer Shōji Kawamori. Based on the anime's settings, the body proportions, exterior armor design, and internal mechanical structure have been thoroughly redesigned. While incorporating the characteristic alloy toy texture of METAL BUILD, it also utilizes more realistic mechanical designs to enhance its persuasive power. Finally, the suffix "RS," reminiscent of high-performance automobiles, was added to its name to emphasize the uniqueness of this version.

Constructed from various materials including a largely exposed electroplated alloy frame, heavily textured exterior armor paintwork, and clear parts, the "METAL BUILD Nirvash type ZERO RS" boasts a higher density of detailed sculpting and mechanical texture than the original design. The high-strength alloy frame not only allows for dynamic poses of it riding the Ref Board in flight but also achieves a transformation mechanism that, with only a hand swap, can convert into a sleek sports car-like vehicle form.

In addition to the original Ref Board, a new original Ref Board designed by Shōji Kawamori has been added, featuring the colors and patterns of the protagonist's organization, Gekkostate, on its surface. It also incorporates a transformation mechanism, allowing it to combine with the Nirvash's main body after it transforms into vehicle mode, creating new forms such as Aero Mode and Off-road Mode.

The display stand also adopts a simple black and white design to match the unit's style, and the adjustable support arm is made with clear green molding to represent the light particles scattered during flight. Accessories also include two clear molded mini-figures of Eureka and Renton; in addition to a sitting pose that fits into the cockpit, they can also recreate the touching reunion scene from episode 26 of the anime!
