Japanese toy company Kenelephant (ケンエレファント) is releasing a product based on the classic anime "Astro Boy" — the "Astro Boy Character Figure Collection." It will be available in both blind box and gashapon formats, with a suggested retail price of 550 JPY per blind box and 500 JPY per gashapon capsule, respectively. It is scheduled for release in July 2026!
The manga series "Astro Boy" (鉄腕アトム), created by Japanese manga master Osamu Tezuka, is Tezuka-sensei's first long-running serialized work. It tells the story of the cyborg boy "Astro Boy" as he actively works for the peace and welfare of humanity in the 21st century. This "Astro Boy Character Figure Collection" brings several of Astro Boy's in-show poses to life in three dimensions, featuring four types: "Departure" (taking off), "Advance" (walking), "Dejected" (sitting down looking wronged), and "Shy" (looking bashful)! Both the "Departure" and "Advance" types will come with a dedicated display base, allowing for stable display. Arranging all four types in a row will definitely be super cute!
