Produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Netflix, the movie also stars Sydney Sweeney, Noah Centineo, and Michael Mando. Production is slated to officially begin next month in Australia.

The American live-action "Gundam" film is penned and directed by Jim Mickle, known as the showrunner for Netflix's "Sweet Tooth." The plot reportedly centers on a "Romeo and Juliet"-esque dynamic between the male and female leads, who are burdened by family feuds and hail from opposing planetary factions embroiled in an interstellar war. Despite their conflict, they ultimately discover a profound connection. The narrative, however, is said to lean more heavily into the perspective of Sweeney's character.
