Released by BANPRESTO, a prize brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the "Chinza Beast" series, which reinterprets monster designs in a Q-version scale, will launch a new Ultraman series product, "Chinza Beast Friendly Rare Beast Pigmon," as a prize item on April 8, 2026! There will be two styles available for collection.
Pigmon (ピグモン) is a rare creature inhabiting Tatara Island. It is a monster that is very friendly towards humans. In its setting, Pigmon is only one meter tall and possesses almost no combat ability; however, its posture of swaying its arms while walking is incredibly cute. Despite having debuted in 1966 in Episode 8 of "Ultraman," "Monster Lawless Zone" (怪獣無法地帯), and now celebrating its sixtieth anniversary, Pigmon remains one of the most beloved characters among monster fans, enjoying immense popularity.
This three-dimensional rendition of Pigmon in the Chinza Beast series stands approximately 15 cm tall. Its overall design is themed around it carrying a balloon, with its gaze fixed forward in deep concentration. Although it's a Q-version design with a short stature and stubby legs, the intricate details of the rough spikes across its body, as well as the sculpting of its limbs and teeth, are remarkably fine, showcasing a rich amount of realistic texture. In addition to the standard red version, a green version, paying homage to the retro soft vinyl style of the Showa era and highly favored by veteran collectors, is also being released simultaneously!
▼ The previously introduced "Booska," this Pigmon, and the upcoming Kanegon – all three must be collected!
