Japanese toy manufacturer Gecco, renowned for crafting exquisite statues based on video game themes, has announced its latest product from "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots": the "METAL GEAR SOLID 4 GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS Raiden" 1/6 scale full body statue! Pre-orders are currently open on Gecco's official website, with a suggested retail price of 54,780 JPY, and an estimated shipping window from August to November 2026.
Raiden, the experimental warrior known as the "White Devil" cultivated by the "Patriots" through the S3 Plan, participated as a child soldier in the Liberian Civil War, earning him the moniker "Jack the Ripper" among enemies due to his exceptional combat prowess. In "Metal Gear Solid 4," he undergoes further enhancement, his entire body encased in white reinforced exoskeleton armor, with his muscles and bodily fluids also turning white.
The "METAL GEAR SOLID 4 GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS Raiden" 1/6 scale full body statue stands approximately 32 cm tall. Sculpted by Rolandteller (灰石), it captures Raiden's dignified stance, based on a scene from the game where he supports protagonist Solid Snake. His stern gaze conveys his strong sense of responsibility to protect Solid Snake, with the wreckage of a destroyed "Gekko" unit scattered at his feet. Small details such as screws, rivets, and markings on the armor are meticulously sculpted and faithfully reproduced. The combination of finely textured muscle details and transparent armor parts highlights the layering and aesthetic appeal of the entire suit. Additionally, an alternate head sculpt with the visor lowered is included, offering a different ambiance.
