Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company's prize figure brand BANPRESTO recently announced on its official X account the productization of a new item based on the popular anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" – "Fumihiko Takaba I'd Rather You Be Involved in the Matter WiFi!!!"
Fumihiko Takaba, currently 35 years old, is a comedian with a struggling career. During the Culling Game, he was awakened by Kenjaku and became a Culling Game player. His cursed technique, "Comedian," can turn anything he finds funny into reality. In battle, he can toy with opponents using various gags, and even when attacked, he remains virtually unharmed. It is a powerful cursed technique capable of countering Satoru Gojo, though Takaba himself is completely unaware of its true potential.
This prize figure brings to life the classic scene from episode 57 of the anime, "Tokyo No. 1 Colony (Part 4)," where Takaba first appears and delivers his cold joke, "I'd rather you be involved in the matter WiFi!!!" (余計なお世Wi-Fi！！！). The sculpt faithfully recreates his semi-nude hero costume, inspired by comedian Taizo Harada's "Center-man" design. Details such as the muscles of his abdomen and thighs, and the wrinkles on his gloves and boots, are all exquisitely reproduced. Behind him, an acrylic backdrop featuring the joke's text and a WiFi symbol is included, perfectly recreating the famous scene where the air suddenly goes silent! To promote this prize figure, BANPRESTO's official website even temporarily changed the "Jujutsu Kaisen" theme page image to a full-screen visual of Fumihiko Takaba's face, which is incredibly amusing!
