The trendy toy company Underverse, founded by Australian artist Ashley Wood, announced the latest product from its collaborative brand with various artists, "Beautiful Chemistry," the "Beautiful Chemistry x Yoshitaka Amano Dark Crow Knight Raim 1/12 Articulated Figure," slated for release in January 2027.
This time, Beautiful Chemistry collaborates with renowned artist Yoshitaka Amano, known for his visual concepts and character designs for works such as the "FINAL FANTASY" series, to bring forth their first dark fantasy-style creation, "Dark Crow Knight Raim." In the background setting, Raim was once the Seraphim Raim, who governed the "Law of Causality" in Heaven. However, due to his fall to the human realm and the stripping away of his divinity, he transformed into his current form, with a body resembling black crow feathers, long hair, and an extremely pale face.
Although his divine power continues to wane, he still possesses the formidable ability to wrinkle time around him. He must, in his mortal form, accept the wishes of "Summoners." In exchange for sacrificing precious memories, Summoners peer into the future through his eyes, while he collects fragments of causality woven from these memories, which serve as a prerequisite for his return to the divine realm. When the star trails reverse and the dark chronology shrouds the mortal world, it is then that he assumes the alias "Dark Crow Knight Raim" to fulfill these wishes.
The "Dark Crow Knight Raim 1/12 Articulated Figure" stands approximately 24 cm tall. It meticulously recreates the character image drawn by Yoshitaka Amano using PVC and ABS parts with precise sculpting and color application, featuring jet-black armor that emanates a purple glow across its entire body. The helmet boasts a unique transforming and unfolding mechanism. Furthermore, realistic hair fibers are used to depict his pale long hair, and the crow-feather-like cape contains embedded metal wires for fine-tuning details. The longsword weapon accessory is even crafted from stainless steel. Coupled with the highly flexible articulated joint design throughout the body, it allows for a wide array of dynamic and magnificent poses.
