New Japanese model manufacturer Future Factory (Future ファクトリー), under its action figure brand FFAF (Future Factory Action Figure), has launched a new product based on 《Booska the Friendly Monster》 – the "Booska the Friendly Monster" action figure. It has a suggested retail price of 10,780 JPY and is scheduled for release in September 2026!
Future Factory, established in November 2025, has taken over part of the business from EVOLUTION TOY. FFAF is a continuation of EVOLUTION TOY's former action figure brand HAF, continuing to release popular Showa-era Tokusatsu heroes for all toy enthusiasts!
The 1966 Tokusatsu series 《Booska the Friendly Monster》 is adapted from "The Cocoon of Kanegon," an episode from Tsuburaya Productions' 1996 black-and-white Tokusatsu series 《Ultra Q》. The story tells of a boy, Daisaku Tonkida, who originally intended to raise a psychic iguana, but unexpectedly cultivated Booska, a friendly monster who loves ramen, possesses superpowers, and has a kind personality, leading to a daily life full of humor and warmth.
This Booska the Friendly Monster action figure stands approximately 17 cm tall. Its exquisite sculpting faithfully recreates Booska's adorable, furry appearance. Flexible joints are incorporated in multiple areas across its body, including the mouth and arms, allowing for a variety of lively expressions and poses! In terms of accessories, in addition to multiple interchangeable hands, it also includes Booska's favorite ramen bowl and chopsticks, perfectly recreating its charming on-screen appearance!
