Hong Kong toy brand threezero's 1/6 scale articulated figure series, "FigZero", has announced its latest product from Tsuburaya Productions' tokusatsu series "Gridman the Hyper Agent", the "Gridman the Hyper Agent (Tokusatsu Color Version)", slated for release in Q1 2027.
Gridman the Hyper Agent was originally a non-corporeal energy lifeform, a HYPER AGENT, who came to the human world to pursue the interdimensional criminal "Demon King Kahn Digifer". He resided within the assembled computer "JUNK" in the secret base of the protagonists Naoto Sho, Ippei Baba, and Yuka Inoue, transforming into the superhero form designed by Ippei. When Kahn Digifer unleashed monsters to attack the computer world, Gridman merged with Naoto to stop them, utilizing various weapons and support machine programs written by Yuka to enhance his combat abilities. In addition to his powerful combat prowess to defeat monsters, he could also repair the damaged computer world with his beam.
The "FigZero Gridman the Hyper Agent (Tokusatsu Color Version)" is an updated version based on the previously released standard edition. It retains the impressive height of approximately 30 cm and around 40 points of articulation. The key difference lies in the main body and weapon color scheme, which has been repainted with a heavier, more substantial feel, better capturing the prominent shadow effects of the suit seen in the show. Furthermore, the ankle joints from the previous version have been improved, replaced with a double-joint design for a wider range of motion. For the weaponry, not only is the "Plasma Blade" sword body electroplated, but a newly sculpted "Gridman Beam" effect part, which can be equipped on the left arm, has also been added.
The entire body is constructed from ABS, PVC, and other plastic parts combined with specially coated fabric, offering both durability and flexibility to cover the joints and replicate the texture of the suit from the show. Additionally, the head's twin eyes and the chest's energy lamp feature built-in LED light-up mechanisms, further enhancing the recreation of its on-screen appearance. Accessories include four pairs of interchangeable hands, the Plasma Blade which can form both the "Gridman Sword" and "Thunder Axe" configurations, and the Barrier Shield, allowing for the recreation of dynamic battle scenes.
