The first television series in the "Alien" franchise, reportedly titled "Alien: Earth" in some regions, premiered last August to strong viewership. This success prompted Disney and its subsidiary FX to swiftly order a second season. Production for the sophomore season is now underway, with the studio also signing a new nine-figure deal with series creator Noah Hawley. As filming approaches, new cast members for Season 2 are beginning to be announced.
