Will Smith and Martin Lawrence recently returned to star in two "Bad Boys" sequels, successfully reigniting box office fervor and restoring the franchise's past glory. However, Smith and Lawrence aren't the only Black action-comedy duo in cinema history; Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, who starred together in the "Ride Along" series a decade ago, are now set to reunite for another outing.

Deadline exclusively reported that Cube and Hart are in negotiations to return for "Ride Along 3." Tim Story, who directed the 2005 "Fantastic Four" film series, is also in discussions with Universal Pictures to helm the project for a third time. With a full decade having passed since the last "Ride Along" installment, Deadline predicts "Ride Along 3" will perform exceptionally well at the box office. This forecast is based on the strong market reception for the "Bad Boys" series after its hiatus, suggesting that nostalgia often propels sequels to excellent commercial success.
