Japanese high-quality statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio's Life-Scale Masterline series, which produces high-quality life-size statues, recently unveiled a new product based on the classic anime "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C." — the "Motoko Kusanagi Bonus Version" 1:1 scale statue. The suggested retail price is 1,320,000 JPY, limited to 50 units worldwide, with an estimated shipping date in Q1 2027!
"Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX" is a TV anime series produced by Production I.G. in 2002, adapted from the manga "Ghost in the Shell" first serialized in 1989 by Japanese manga artist Masamune Shirow. The story is set in a world with highly advanced technology and a new social structure formed by the fusion of humans and machines, revolving around the special unit "Public Security Section 9," responsible for combating crime and terrorism, and the protagonist Motoko Kusanagi, whose brain has been transplanted into a mechanical body.
The Motoko Kusanagi 1:1 scale statue, previously previewed at the "Ghost in the Shell Exhibition Ghost and the Shell" held at TOKYO NODE in Toranomon Hills, Tokyo, has finally been officially unveiled! This statue, including the base, stands approximately 174 cm tall, depicting Motoko in a hands-on-hips pose holding a Sebro C-26A rifle. It faithfully reproduces her 168 cm height as per the setting, with her alluring body curves and the muscle lines from her hips to her thighs meticulously recreated. Her crimson electronic eyes and naturally flowing purple short hair are also painted to perfection!
Her iconic jacket is made from high-quality fabric, showcasing a delicate sheen, and features a detachable design, allowing for versatile display options! Furthermore, the Bonus Version, limited to 50 units, includes an interchangeable right hand holding a Sebro M-5 pistol, paying homage to the classic gunfight scene at the beginning of the first episode of the anime. Coupled with the understated silver-gray base featuring the Public Security Section 9 logo, it perfectly showcases the Major's charm!
