Yesterday, renowned film journalist Daniel Richtman reported that "Wonka," the prequel to "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," is set to begin filming its sequel in late August this year. Today, Richtman quickly followed up, adding that Saoirse Ronan, who has previously collaborated twice with "Wonka" star Timothée Chalamet, might also join the sequel.

Richtman indicated that Warner Bros. Pictures has targeted Ronan for a new role in "Wonka 2," though further details about the character's identity were not disclosed. What is certain is that audiences would be thrilled to see Ronan and Chalamet reunite. Their intense on-screen chemistry, whether as a couple in "Lady Bird" or as close friends who never quite became lovers in "Little Women," has been widely adored by fans. If this collaboration ultimately comes to fruition, it would undoubtedly be a welcome development.
