The popular "Megami Device" series of mecha girl-themed model kits, released by Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, has announced its latest product, "PUNI☆MOFU Ronron," slated for release in September 2026.
The fifth unit in the PUNI☆MOFU series, "Ronron," features character design by Japanese illustrator BLADE. It utilizes the same compact, articulated "Machineca Block2-S" body as Nyan-Nyan and Rabi-Rabi, allowing for agile combat styles with its small stature. It is also equipped with the versatile new weapon, "Twin Dragon Fangs." Normally, two massive dragon heads can be mounted on the rear waist, firing beam breaths in 360-degree directions for offense and defense. The dragon heads can also be detached and combined with a long staff to form the "Dragon Dance Spear," or attached to both hands to form the "Dragon Fang Fists," among other weapon configurations.
"Megami Device PUNI☆MOFU Ronron" utilizes numerous new parts to recreate a dragon and Chinese-inspired outfit, featuring a cute bun hairstyle, "hui" pattern bracelets on the cuffs of both arms, and Chinese knot dragon-shaped AI on the chest and skirt hem. It also includes three pre-painted face parts to display Ronron's energetic demeanor. In "body mode" with most of the weaponry removed, the flexible articulation design of the "Machineca Block2-S" body allows for various adorable poses.
In "armed mode" with full armor, Ronron's "Dragon Princess Paw" equipped on both hands allows for poses demonstrating palm techniques. The two main weapons, "Twin Dragon Fangs," mounted on her back, can rotate in multiple directions via multi-jointed necks, opening their jaws to reveal the muzzles and simulate beam breath firing. Furthermore, by swapping assembly methods using standard 3mm ports, it can recreate modes such as the "Dragon Dance Spear" and "Dragon Fang Fists" from its design, and can even be held directly as a long whip.
