Bushiroad Prize, a prize brand under Bushiroad Creative, has announced the latest product in its "Chara Gon Figure" series, which transforms popular anime characters into cute little monster forms: "Chara Gon Bocchi the Rock!", scheduled for release in September 2026.
"Bocchi the Rock!" is a highly popular four-panel manga by Japanese manga artist Aki Hamaji, serialized in Houbunsha's "Manga Time Kirara MAX". The protagonist, Hitori Gotoh (Bocchi), is a gloomy, extremely socially anxious girl who even fears crowds. Since middle school, she has practiced guitar for 6 hours daily, possessing guitar playing skills close to a professional musician. She also anonymously uploads performance videos online as "Guitar Hero," becoming a trending topic. However, shortly after entering high school, she still felt frustrated due to her inability to make friends. One day, she was reluctantly persuaded by Nijika Ijichi to become a substitute guitarist. Through this, she met Ryo Yamada, Ikuyo Kita, and others, forming the "Kessoku Band." Her long-awaited band activities finally began, but the challenge of overcoming her own obstacles was just starting...!
The "Chara Gon Bocchi the Rock!" prize figures feature the four members of "Kessoku Band": Hitori Gotoh, Nijika Ijichi, Ryo Yamada, and Ikuyo Kita. Continuing the series' style, they are crafted as fluffy little monsters. The monster bodies, corresponding to their hair colors, utilize flocking to achieve a fluffy texture, and transparent parts are used for their hands, feet, and claws, capturing the cute, claw-waving poses of the monsters at an approximate height of 8 cm.
