Danish toy company LEGO has officially announced its next Star Wars Gift with Purchase (GWP) set, featuring the "The Darksaber" brick-built model, numbered 40917! Overseas, it is expected to be available for free from May 1-6, 2026, at official LEGO stores with a purchase of Star Wars sets totaling US$160 or more (while supplies last). Details on Taiwan's release are yet to be announced.
This set comprises 278 pieces, and once assembled, the model stands approximately 8.5 cm tall and measures 26 cm in length, certainly making a significant presence when held. In the Star Wars saga, the Darksaber holds profound significance for the Mandalorian people, symbolizing power and the leadership to rule Mandalore. From the animated series The Clone Wars to the live-action series The Mandalorian, the Darksaber has been wielded by multiple characters. This set is designed according to The Mandalorian's specifications, featuring a sleek black hilt. The model's body largely smooths out the brick stud texture, and the blade's tip utilizes translucent blue-purple elements. Paired with a dedicated display stand featuring a nameplate, it looks incredibly cool when displayed!
