Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, in collaboration with illustrator Morikura En, has announced the latest product in their everyday-life beautiful girl plastic model kit series "Sousai Shojo Teien": "Yakushiji Kuon [Kagari Mariya Damaged Ver.] Dreaming Style Schoolgirl Emulation", scheduled for release in October 2026.
A third-year student at Momozakura High School, Yakushiji Kuon is normally a somewhat clumsy young lady, but in front of the camera, she transforms into a genius actress capable of exquisite performances. After entering the entertainment industry through extracurricular activities, she, who was originally a pampered young lady from a prestigious family, had the opportunity to portray various roles. The most representative of these is Kagari Mariya, the heroine of the popular hero show "Infinite Encounter Megalomaria".
"Sousai Shojo Teien Yakushiji Kuon [Kagari Mariya Damaged Ver.] Dreaming Style Schoolgirl Emulation" is a recolored version based on the standard edition kit. The blue and white sailor uniform color scheme is the same as the Momozakura High School uniform Yakushiji Kuon wears to school. The milk tea gold hair color, blue pupils, and blue blade are the same as the separately sold "Emulation Doll" character from "Infinite Encounter", allowing for interchangeable face and body parts to depict the Emulation Doll mimicking Kagari Mariya.
The sailor uniform utilizes newly sculpted parts to recreate its damaged state after battle. Furthermore, all four pre-painted face parts have been changed to new sculpts wrapped in bandages, specifically: "Glaring Face," "Fighting Spirit Face," "Super Glaring Face," and "Smiling Face."
To recreate the agile movements of the protagonist in tokusatsu dramas, Kuon's body features a joint structure different from previous products in the series. Combining designs such as "pull-out shoulder joints," "chest and abdomen twisting joints (front, back, left, right)," "movable skirt," and "double joints for elbows and knees," it allows for greater forward and backward bending, and even, when combined with various sculpted hand parts and the "blooming" effect for the right eye, enables cool battle poses such as dual-wielding swords, iaijutsu drawing, and high kneeling stances.
