The second installment of "The Devil Wears Prada," slated for release next Wednesday, boasts an array of new cast members. Lady Gaga, Lucy Liu, Simone Ashley — who gained recognition for her role in "Bridgerton" — and Kenneth Branagh, portraying Meryl Streep's "Miranda Priestly's" new husband, are all set to make their debut in this chapter.

However, not all new faces made the final cut. Entertainment Weekly (EW) exclusively revealed that rising star Sydney Sweeney had filmed a brief cameo, but the production team ultimately decided to cut the scene due to continuity issues with the rest of the plot. The three-minute cameo reportedly featured Sweeney playing herself, with Emily Blunt's character styling her. While Sweeney won't appear in the final film, the crew expressed gratitude for her participation.

Beyond Sweeney, director David Frankel also disclosed on the podcast "Back Row" that a cameo by Anna Wintour, the real-life inspiration for Miranda Priestly, was also cut. According to Frankel, Wintour missed her cue during filming, starting her performance and blocking before the camera was ready, resulting in unusable, out-of-focus footage. While a director would typically request a reshoot, Frankel stated he "couldn't exactly ask Anna to do it again." Though Wintour's appearance won't be in the main feature, her blooper reel will be included in future behind-the-scenes content on Disney+.
