Tamagotchi "Puffy Clear Rings" Gashapon Set Returns with Major Y2K Vibes!

Bandai's Gashapon division is re-releasing a new accessory line themed after the iconic handheld digital pet, "Tamagotchi"! The "Tamagotchi Puffy Clear Ring" capsule toy series is set for a comeback, with a suggested price of 200 JPY per try and an expected release in the fifth week of May 2026.

First launched by Bandai in 1996, Tamagotchi is a line of handheld digital pet games whose name cleverly combines the Japanese words for egg (たまご, Tamago) and watch (ウォッチ, Watch). It immediately sparked a global phenomenon, becoming one of the most iconic toys of the late '90s and early 2000s and a cherished childhood memory for countless collectors. Last year's release of Tamagotchi Paradise has even kicked off a brand new wave of virtual pet popularity!

This "Tamagotchi Puffy Clear Ring" collection is a reissue of the popular set from June 2025. It reimagines the original 2024 "Tamagotchi Puffy Rings" with a new translucent material. The lineup includes six characters: Mametchi, Memetchi, Kuchipatchi, Mimitchi, Ichigotchi, and Flowertchi. The clear material creates a vibrant, colorful effect as it catches and refracts light, giving these rings an even stronger Y2K aesthetic than the previous version. They're the perfect eye-catching accessory to complete any outfit!
