Following the highly successful Capture Squad series, Bandai's Gashapon division is once again diving into the world of the hit game "Monster Hunter" to release the "Monster Hunter Capture Squad: Subspecies & Rare Species 2" capsule toy collection. This lineup features four unique figures, each priced at 500 JPY per play, and is slated for release in May 2026.
Conceptualized around capturing monsters, the "Monster Hunter Capture Squad: Subspecies & Rare Species 2" collection continues the series' signature style. Each approximately 6cm figure meticulously recreates the monsters in their defeated, sprawled-out poses! This latest wave once again focuses on subspecies, featuring four distinct monsters: the blue-shelled Rathalos subspecies, Azure Rathalos; the Pink Rathian, a Rathian subspecies; the rare species of Tigrex, Molten Tigrex; and the entirely crimson Red Khezu, a Khezu subspecies. These figures boast unique color schemes distinct from their original counterparts, faithfully reproducing the rarer hues of subspecies and rare species. Intricate details like scales and claws are carefully sculpted, and each figure comes with a sandy, earthy base, reflecting the game's environment. Their defeated, yet adorable, poses make you want to capture them all!
