World-renowned Hong Kong collectible brand Hot Toys has officially revealed its latest product from "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace"—the Qui-Gon Jinn 1/6th scale collectible figure. The Jedi Master will be released in both a standard Collector Edition and a limited Artisan Edition, priced at HK$1,730 and HK$2,580, respectively. The standard version is available for pre-order on the official website and through select retailers. The Artisan Edition, limited to just 500 sets, will be available for pre-order at the "Star Wars: Travel with Grogu" event in Hong Kong. Both figures are scheduled for release between the second and third quarters of 2027!
Standing approximately 32 cm tall, the Qui-Gon Jinn 1/6th scale figure features a stunningly detailed head sculpt that perfectly captures the likeness of actor Liam Neeson. Intricate details such as wrinkles, his beard, and skin texture have been meticulously recreated. The figure is also equipped with a separate rolling eyeball system, allowing for subtle adjustments to his expression! The primary difference between the Artisan Edition and the standard version is the hair; the Artisan Edition utilizes an exquisite wool hair implantation technique to replicate Qui-Gon's long hair, dramatically enhancing the figure's overall realism!
The outfit is tailored from composite fabrics, recreating his beige tunic and under-tunic. The outer Jedi Master robe has also been flawlessly stitched and features an embedded wire for creating dynamic, flowing poses. The iconic green lightsaber includes an LED light-up function and comes with two hilts (one for the light-up feature and one that can be worn on his belt). It also includes two blade styles—a standard blade and a motion-blur effect blade—to represent various action scenarios. Accessories include a Hush-98 comlink, a grappling hook launcher, and a holoprojector with holographic projections of Master Yoda, Mace Windu, and the Naboo Royal Starship. With over 30 points of articulation, this figure can be posed to recreate countless scenes from the film!
