BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, has announced the latest addition to its "Chinza-ju" series of monster seated soft vinyl figures. Combining cool and cute designs, the new "Monster Hunter" prize figure, "Alyzeus ~Awakening~", is slated for release on May 27, 2026.
Making its debut as the cover monster for "Monster Hunter Wilds," Alyzeus was originally believed to be a creature extinct since ancient times, according to historical records. However, in recent years, an individual dubbed the "White Solitary Shadow" by an investigation team was discovered in the "Forbidden Lands" of the Old World's eastern continent. Alyzeus is covered in grayish-white carapace and fur. Its wings feature unique, retractable organs known as "Lock Blades." When flying, these retract and blend with its fur to form its wings. In combat, they extend into flexible serpent-blade structures, used to attack and bind prey, and it even possesses the ability to absorb and release elemental energy.
The "Chinza-ju Alyzeus ~Awakening~" figure features a chibi-style, low-head-to-body ratio design, standing approximately 11 cm tall. It meticulously captures Alyzeus's ferocious crawling posture on the ground, with sculpted details including its sharp horns and teeth, the distinctive "Lock Blades" on its wings, and its dense grayish-white fur. The figure also boasts brown and blue-toned paintwork, expertly highlighting the interplay of light and shadow and the textural differences between its carapace and fur.
