Bandai Spirits' premium adult-oriented Kamen Rider belt series, "COMPLETE SELECTION MODIFICATION" (CSM), has announced the latest release: the "G Buckle Mark 7 & Gauge Lamp G Buckle". This new item, inspired by the 25th-anniversary movie "AGITΩ - Superpower War" from the "Kamen Rider AGITΩ" series, is slated for a December 2026 release.
The "G" series of specialized reinforced suits, which debuted in "Kamen Rider AGITΩ," are weapons developed jointly by a Japanese corporate entity and the Metropolitan Police Department to combat unidentified lifeforms. In 2001, the "Kamen Rider G3," designed by the brilliant mechanical engineering doctor Sumiko Ozawa, achieved outstanding combat results against the Unknown, laying the foundation for the subsequent "G" series. Various forms such as G3, G3-X, G3-MILD, and G4 have appeared in different film and television works, and the latest installment, "Superpower War," introduces the cutting-edge G6 and G7 specifications.
The "CSM G Buckle Mark 7 & Gauge Lamp G Buckle" set includes both the Gauge Lamp G Buckle, which is standard for G3 through G6, and the G Buckle Mark 7, specifically designed for G7, along with shared belt parts. This allows collectors to easily swap and recreate both belt specifications. The design, coloring, and size are meticulously recreated to match the in-show settings, capturing the mechanical texture of the Gauge Lamp G Buckle's metallic casing and the more modern touchscreen design of the G Buckle Mark 7. Both buckles are packed with a rich array of sounds, including character dialogue, in-show sound effects, and Kamen Rider theme songs, making the transformation play experience even more immersive.
The "G Buckle Mark 7" features a touch-sensitive design that significantly reduces analog buttons. Touching the circular area at the top center activates the power, triggers drone deployment and transformation sounds, and plays AI system voice prompts. The central panel displays icons for the G7 unit and its various drones. Touching the sides initiates drone separation and movement sounds, with active drone icons turning green. Touching the top center circle again triggers a limit-release special attack sound, with the sound content varying based on the number of active drones. Additionally, the buckle's top sides are equipped with dedicated voice and sound effect/BGM buttons, allowing playback of character lines from Makoto Hikawa, Sumiko Ozawa, and three in-show background music tracks.
The "Gauge Lamp G Buckle", on the other hand, is equipped with four analog buttons for dialogue, sound effects, and more. Pressing the sound effect and transformation buttons simultaneously activates the device, recreating the in-show sequence of flashing lights and the central energy gauge filling up lamp by lamp. Each button allows playback of dialogue from various past wearers, including Commander Sumiko Ozawa, Makoto Hikawa, and Ruriko Aoi, along with theme songs corresponding to different forms and various weapon attack sounds. Turning the left waist knob further reproduces the missile launch sound effect of the G4's exclusive weapon.
Furthermore, the "Gauge Lamp G Buckle" features a damage simulation mode that reflects critical combat situations. As the central energy gauge gradually depletes, damage reports and evacuation orders from support personnel Hirotaka Oomuro and Sumiko Ozawa are played. Operating the sound effect button then triggers "emergency escape sound effects," such as armor detachment. For collectors who only wish to acquire the G3-G6 belt, Bandai is also offering a standalone version, the "CSM Gauge Lamp G Buckle," which contains the same features except for the "G Buckle Mark 7."
