LEGO continues to roll out its new product lineup for the second half of 2026, and today we've got the details on the brand-new "SEGA Genesis Console" set (40926)! This nostalgic build is scheduled to hit shelves on June 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of $39.99.
This 479-piece set creates a console measuring approximately 4 cm tall and 16 cm long. To ensure fans worldwide can perfectly recapture their childhood memories, LEGO has included alternate building instructions. While the box art features the North American SEGA Genesis (which first launched in 1989), collectors can also choose to build the Japanese SEGA Mega Drive (the console's original 1988 release). In addition to the console itself, the set comes with two controllers and a "Sonic the Hedgehog" game cartridge. Given that the cartridge is designed to be inserted and removed, the use of a sticker for the label might be a slight disappointment for collectors hoping for a printed piece.
▼ Open up the console and you'll find a Sonic the Hedgehog portrait inside! It's like stepping right back into that golden era of gaming.
