Kotobukiya has just announced the latest addition to its popular "Megami Device" line of model kits, which blend highly articulated female figures with customizable mechanical armor. Get ready for the "PUNI☆MOFU Racing Maomao with Honda Z50J-1 Monkey," slated for a November 2026 release.
This exciting release is a collaboration, pairing Kotobukiya's "PUNI☆MOFU Maomao" with a 1/12 scale Honda Z50J-1 Monkey '78 kit from Aoshima Bunka Kyozai Co. Designed by Japanese illustrator BLADE, "PUNI☆MOFU Maomao" utilizes the compact "Machineca Block2-S" base body, featuring an adorable cat-themed design. Don't let her cute looks fool you—she packs a serious punch in combat. This new version features a vibrant, original color scheme for the plastic parts, giving her the look of a professional racer.
The "PUNI☆MOFU Racing Maomao" figure not only features a new molded color scheme but also comes with pre-painted "Smiling" and "☆ Smile" face parts, now with bright green eyes to match her new look. Accessories include a helmet and three pairs of molded plastic hands for swapping. Thanks to the highly flexible articulation of the Block2-S body, she can be posed in all sorts of cute ways, including riding the motorcycle.
The included "1/12 Honda Z50J-1 Monkey '78" kit also gets an original red and black colorway. This is a detailed recreation of the classic 1978 Z50J-1 model, with finely sculpted details on the engine, suspension system, and lights. Flexible plastic is used to replicate the various cables and hoses for added realism. Please note that the Honda Monkey kit requires model cement (sold separately) for assembly.
