MegaHouse, a prominent Japanese figure manufacturer, has announced the latest addition to its new sub-series, "Lucrea Lite," a more affordable and display-friendly spin-off of their high-quality anime character figure line "Lucrea." The new release, "Kira Yamato Pilot Suit Ver.," hails from the theatrical anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" and is slated for release in December 2026.
Protagonist Kira Yamato, originally a Coordinator youth residing in the neutral resource satellite Heliopolis, found himself embroiled in a Gundam capture operation initiated by the Z.A.F.T. military in C.E. 71. He unexpectedly became the pilot of the Earth Alliance's secret weapon, the Strike Gundam. His abilities as the "strongest Coordinator" gradually awakened through countless battles, yet his aversion to the war and its immense sacrifices deepened. He later resolved to join the independent faction led by Lacus Clyne, becoming a pivotal figure in ending two major wars and addressing the military threats posed by the post-war emerging nation, the Foundation.
The "Lucrea Lite Kira Yamato Pilot Suit Ver." figure stands at approximately 20 cm tall, meticulously capturing Kira in his COMPASS (World Peace Monitoring Organization) pilot suit from the movie, holding his helmet. The figure faithfully reproduces his anime-accurate hairstyle, physique, and the intricate wrinkle details of his pilot suit. A rich paint application highlights the varying textures of each component.
