Japanese figure manufacturer Megahouse has announced the latest additions to its palm-sized chibi figure series, "LOOKUP," featuring "Chiharu" and "Makina" from the original anime "Milky☆Subway." These new figures are slated for release in May 2026.
"Milky☆Subway," the highly anticipated original 3D anime that premiered in July 2025, is the brainchild of independent animator Yohei Kameyama, who personally directed, wrote, designed, and produced the series. Building upon the narrative, alien world-setting, and 80s cyberpunk aesthetic of his graduation project, "Milky☆Highway," the story follows the superhuman Chiharu and the cyborg Makina. After being arrested by the police, they are sent to the interstellar train "Milky☆Subway" for forced labor. However, an unexpected activation of the train thrusts them into a perilous, short-lived journey.
The "LOOKUP Chiharu / Makina" figures stand approximately 11 cm tall, capturing the characters in their adorable, low-proportioned chibi style. Both are sculpted in their cute, knee-hugging seated poses, looking up at you. The overall design faithfully recreates Chiharu's pink skin and antennae, as well as Makina's high-performance cyborg body. Each figure features rich color applications to accurately depict their distinctive "gyaru" (gal) fashion. Furthermore, their necks are equipped with articulated joints, allowing for slight adjustments in tilt and rotation, ensuring they can always meet your gaze!
